Preventing parasites is always a goal, but since they are so small and clever, the best parasite cleanse program to follow is a periodic herbal cleanse of the whole body, which is designed to expel them along with the toxic material on which they may have been feeding. If you know exactly what you are fighting, there are certain herbal parasite cleanse programs that particularly target a parasite species more than others. Some general rules to follow to prevent these common problems are to cook all meat (especially fish, shellfish and pork), wear shoes in infected areas (especially around public toilet areas) and keep your clothes clean, hands and fingernails washed. Remember your pets can infest the whole house, so don't let your children kiss their pet, and be careful of animal droppings. It may also be a good idea to give your pets anti-parasitic herbs like garlic, black walnut or herbal pumpkin on a regular basis as a preventative measure. Your also need to understand that during a parasite cleanse you may have flu-like symptoms as parasites die off in the body and are expelled.

Tiao He Cleanse
One of the finest over-all and convenient parasite cleanse programs for the whole body is called the Tiao He Cleanse. This is a ten-day program that is so easy on the body that you may continue regular work without the inconvenience of frequent bathroom trips.
Just follow directions, and if you feel too uncomfortable or inconvenienced, cut down the number of herbs you are taking or stop or give yourself a rest for a couple of days until the body is stabilized and ready to proceed. Everybody's a little different in their reactions to a general program. But it's not anything to fear or dread.
If you are super-determined to be lean, giving yourself an enema is usually wise. Just take your time and this will hasten your general parasite cleanse; you will find an inner peace as a result of the body's relief at having the poisons removed. Anyone who's tried it will assure you that this is a true principle, and worth the effort.
But just like the Tiao He Cleanse, decrease or stop taking enamas if you feel too uncomfortable. You need time and the body needs to readjust the whole system to the fact that it doesn't have to deal with so much poison as it did the day before. Be kind to yourself and it will return the favor many times over.
After the Tiao He Cleanse, rest your body for at least a week. It is readjustment time for your internal regulatory mechanisms. If you feel it necessary, then do another 10-day program.
It is possible that during your Tiao He Cleanse parasites were killed and removed from the body naturally without having to do anything more. However, some may be buried deep in various tissues and need stronger measures over longer period of time before they finally figure out that your body is a deadly place to live.
Para-Cleanse
The Para-Cleanse program is another convenient ten-day parasite cleanse program, with simple instructions clearly stated on the label. Like Tiao He, can be repeated after resting the body for a week.
It should be clearly understood that just because you get rid of one parasite doesn't mean your through! This is also true for any cleansing program--it is a periodic but continuing necessity throughout life.
The body tries to protect itself by building walls around parasites or other foreign objects (just like it does by building tumors around cancer colonies).
Until the body feels strong enough to fight the trapped parasite directly, it will keep it locked up inside a tumorous cocoon (if it can). But as you clean and strengthen the whole system and add to your diet those herbs known to kill your enemies, the body can then take down the walls and permanently rid itself of them.
The Para-Cleanse program contains a variety of herbs for a variety of parasites. This parasite cleanse program also requires patience, although some people have such a strong constitution that their systems eject foreigners almost immediately.
Another side benefit you probably were not expecting is that along with parasites, a lot of other foreign material will be loosened and disposed of. This will contribute to your overall feeling of peace and well-being----but not until the loosened material is gone. In the meantime, it, along with dead and poisonous parasites, may be floating in the bloodstream ready to be filtered out by the kidneys, or causing you some upset-stomach feelings or a headache until the bowels evacuate. So here, again, ease off the parasite cleanse if it is stirring up too much toxicity for the system to handle.
Let us emphasize another point once again; periodic parasite cleanses are important. One of the major reasons, besides getting into a deeper parasute cleanse than the first one, is that parasites change their form at different stages of their life-cycle. If you go on the parasite cleanse when a parasite is a hard-coated cyst residing in muscle tissue, it may survive the anti-parasite program unscathed. But when you resume the parasite cleanse program two weeks later it may have changed its form and be more vulnerable to herbal compounds in the blood seeking it out.
Another factor to be aware of is that while some of the parasites are protected, others vulnerable today may have just gotten into their stage of protection right as you go on the program the second time. So three rounds of Para-Cleanse with a week of rest between is actually a smart strategy if you feel the need.
How do you know when you are "clean"? Basically, you will feel inner peace and renewed energy. Various aches and pains or other symptoms will vanish. However, these same symptoms can be caused by other problems like infections, vitamin/mineral deficiencies , over-doing-it, etc. Don't blame parasites if the symptoms return, but be aware that they may be back and you can act accordingly.
As a maintenance program, a Tiao He Cleanse every spring and fall is wise, or even at the beginning of each season if you feel endangered by accidental parasite contamination. The body goes on its own cleanses in the spring and fall, and this explains many of the feelings of "sickened" that a toxic overload brings, like headache, nervous irritation ("crabby"), fever, gas, nausea and diarrhea.
Herbal Pumpkin

Lay aside all other supplements during this time if you can. The fasting starves the parasites, while the herbs cleanse the body and kill the intruders. Many people have found this parasite cleanse even more effective than the Para-Cleanse program.
